Relaxation and indulgence
Here we have opted for a delicious traditional French breakfast. It is served at individual tables on the terrace, weather permitting, or in the guests dining room, from 8.30 to 10.00 am
The buffet offers a wide variety of fruit, homemade jams and cakes, freshly made each day.
We also have goat’s cheese from the Lot, ewe’s milk yoghurt and organic, gluten-free cereals, and other sweets and savouries, for a deliciously varied breakfast.
In summer, dinner is served on the terrace, facing the pool and the olive trees. In winter, it is served by the fireplace in the kitchen.
Food here changes with the seasons, and is always simple, generous and full of energy. The hostess cooks well-balanced family meals, and menus (starter, main course and dessert) are made up of local, homemade produce that is organic whenever possible.
Wines from our estate and elsewhere are available for tastings, with expert guidance from the master of the house.
The table d’hôte service is served on certain evenings, depending on availability. Monday evenings only.

Take one into the garden for a peaceful dinner under the trees: a basket of quality deli items, prepared fresh to order with everything you need for a perfect picnic. Light, seasonal dishes to be enjoyed on a classic chequered picnic blanket. Better than a quick bite and easier than cooking a whole meal, our picnic baskets allow you to enjoy a romantic moment at sunset in the peaceful surroundings of the Labarthe estate.
Truffles, black, shiny and enticing, an absolute must from January to late February. Here we prepare them as simply as possible: on buttered bread, oven toasted, with a tiny pinch of salt, is how they bring out the most flavour.

How about a crisp, chilled glass of Malbec rosé, with a few of our home-grown olives on the side?

And for a drink on the terrace, we have a selection of wines from Cahors and elsewhere, carefully chosen for your enjoyment. The owner of the domain, a passionate and professional wine maker, produces a deliciously fruity Malbec wine, Canonicat de Labarthe. It wears the colours of the estate and its long-standing history of wine production. You can taste it while you’re here and also buy a few bottles to add to your own cellar. And for enthusiasts, we offer guided tours of the vineyard and wine store, and tastings with explanations. Prices an bookings on request..
