When we restored the barn, we wanted to give it a new purpose while maintaining its original structure. Today the monumental building retains its original dimensions (7m wide by 26m long), and its high walls of Quercy stone, topped by a framework of 12 oak beams. Natural daylight comes in through two contemporary bay windows. A short flight of stairs separates the room into two levels, endowing the space with an elegant perspective.
The room opens straight out on to the 120m2 west-facing terrace surrounded by wooded gardens.
Suitable for small groups and large events. The hall is ideal for seated dinners for up to 130 guests, or a cocktail reception for up to 170 people. Its terrace and adjacent park offer a bucolic setting for your festivities, in the shade of tall trees or under the stars.
Host your event as if in the comfort of your own home! Flower gardens, round tables, dapper Fermob chairs, tasteful lighting – all the decor is ready to go, so you’ll only need to put flowers on the tables!
For your event, all the estate’s cottages and guest rooms can be block-booked at a preferential rate. Up to 20 guests can stay on site.
At Labarthe, we are also in the wine business: as producers and merchants we can offer advice, tastings, and supply your event – at competitive rates – with a selection of wines from our menus.

The guest rooms at Labarthe overlook the grounds, offering abundant natural light and perfectly quiet surroundings – if anything wakes you it will be the gentle sound of birdsong. The old thick walls of Quercy stone keep the rooms peaceful and cool in summer. All the rooms, three of which are on the ground floor, have been recently renovated and each has its own toilet and bathroom. They feature antique furniture, soft colours and contemporary details, to give an overall feeling of comfort and sophistication.
The bedding is excellent, and beds are made in the traditional manner with fine cotton sheets and light or thick woollen blankets depending on the season.
New for summer 2023: all our rooms will be air-conditioned.
Some of the original 17th century estate’s outbuildings have survived the years: once used for farming and wine production, these have now been restored and transformed into comfortable, independent gites.
They can be rented for a few days or by the week.
