A unique property
About 8 km from Cahors, on a road winding through the region’s celebrated Malbec vineyards, an exquisite 18th century manor house lies hidden among the walnut groves, just waiting to show you the famed hospitality found only in the finest French guesthouses.
Our seven guest rooms and gîtes have been renovated and tastefully decorated. In summer, delicious breakfasts are served on the terrace facing ancient olive trees. Wooded gardens, a heated swimming pool and a lovely view of the countryside provide a perfect setting for a calm, peaceful holiday.
Domaine de Labarthe is also perfect for your exclusive corporate events and private receptions. Reception rooms with fireplaces, a French-style garden, and a huge converted barn are ideal for special group events.
The guesthouse is open all year round.
Accommodations
The guest rooms
The guest rooms at Labarthe overlook the grounds, offering abundant natural light and perfectly quiet surroundings – if anything wakes you it will be the gentle sound of birdsong. The old thick walls of Quercy stone keep the rooms peaceful and cool in summer. All the rooms, three of which are on the ground floor, have been recently renovated and each has its own toilet and bathroom. They feature antique furniture, soft colours and contemporary details, to give an overall feeling of comfort and sophistication.
The bedding is excellent, and beds are made in the traditional manner with fine cotton sheets and light or thick woollen blankets depending on the season.
GITES
Some of the original 17th century estate’s outbuildings have survived the years: once used for farming and wine production, these have now been restored and transformed into comfortable, independent gites.
They can be rented for a few days or by the week.

Just across from the terrace, sheltered by ancient olive trees, the garden and pool are both south facing. The pool water is treated with salt and heated from May to September, depending on the weather. Sun-loungers and comfortable armchairs are available – come and relax!
