The guest rooms at Labarthe overlook the grounds. They are light and so quiet that the only thing that might wake you is the birdsong. The old thick walls of Quercy stone keep the rooms peaceful and cool in summer.
All the rooms, three of which are on the ground floor, have been recently renovated and each has its own toilet and bathroom. They have antique furniture, soft colours and contemporary details, to give an overall feeling of comfort and sophistication.
The bedding is excellent, beds are made in the traditional manner with fine cotton sheets and light or thick woollen blankets depending on the season.
Host and share easy living at Labarthe
They’re expecting you: upon arrival you’ll find a bouquet of fresh flowers from the garden in your bedroom, and glass bottles of mineral water on your nightstand. A soft bath robe and pool towels are also provided.
Before every arrival the rooms are aired out, meticulously cleaned and disinfected. The daily cleaning service for the rooms and communal areas is carried out by our attentive and detail-oriented team.
…on high-quality bedding. Beds are made in the traditional fashion with fine cotton sheets and light wool blankets or quilts depending on the season, along with a Mohair plaid and soft feather pillows. Your comfort comes first.
The right way to start the day, with breakfast served at individual tables. The buffet offers sweet and savoury items: fresh fruit, jams and homemade baked goods, local Lot cheeses, organic cereals, Gascony ham and rustic bread.
All our rooms (except one) are air-conditioned using modern units for discreet cooling without excessive noise.
In the winter, these two-way units also serve as heaters, helping to reduce our use of fossil fuels.
Labarthe is an ancient structure built from cut stone blocks, and we’ve chosen to preserve and lean into its classic character.
Yes to renewable electricity: today, a number of discreetly located solar panels provide almost half the energy we and our guests consume.
We are also mindful of our water consumption, with flow reducers for taps and shower heads, and carefully calculated water management for our gardens.
Of course, we also recycle and invite our guests to separate their waste.
Some of the original 17th century estate’s outbuildings have survived the years: once used for farming and wine production, these have now been restored and transformed into comfortable, independent gites.
They can be rented for a few days or by the week.
At the Domaine de Labarthe, we strive to offer our guests a relaxing environment and à la carte services for a stay that suits their needs.
Enjoy your stay at the estate with our table d’hôte service and meals from our summer kitchen, and indulge in some self-care with relaxing massages and yoga classes. Or, head out to explore the many charms of the Lot valley that surrounds us: the picturesque village of Saint Cirq Lapopie, the Pech Merle caves, museums, nature walks and indulgent escapades with food and wine tastings.
